Have I mentioned recently how much I love the astronomy picture of the day?

Because I really do.

Sigh. Maybe if I’m very, very good, I shall be rewarded with a trip here:

I bookmarked this website not too long ago. It features a different picture of the universe every day, and all of them, to a one, are beautiful. The picture from May 1 was gorgeous if not a little eerie.

It’s called a Pulsar’s Hand. If I was a more religious woman, I’d be inclined to call it the Hand of God. Either way, wowza.

I’m trying to imagine anyone walking up to these women and telling them that their love is less. Smaller. Not as worthy of being recognized by this country. I’m sure there are people who would and who have. And to them I can only ask why?
